Day 3 - More Energy | Less Stiffness

Today, I do not feel as tired as I usually do and as I woke up this morning I noticed less stiffness in my legs.  As a matter of fact it was easier to get up this morning.  Now the past two days they were excessively stiff.  Actually, my whole body was excessively stiff.  It's the toxins that make the muscles stiff, they get worse when you are fasting as the toxins are being released.  Speaking of toxins, I still have my rash on my face and would like to scratch it very much.

I weigh 169.2 lbs but my waist went up 1/2 an inch.  So, either I did not measure myself right yesterday or I that pinch of salt bloated me a bit.   So, when I started this Monday I weighed 174.2 and I lost a total of 5 lbs.  This is the first time I saw anything below 170 in 5 years.  Even when I was working out 7 days a week and eating salads.  Note:  The salads may have included dressings and bread crumbs that had gluten in them.  It's amazing what you can find gluten in.

Anyways, I was just asked to sub for tomorrow and Saturday, so I have to break my fast.  I've read numerous times that it's not wise to workout strenuously while fasting.  Generally it is due to being light-headed and dizzy.

Breakfast:  Hemp nuts and pineapple.
Lunch: Salad with Avocado, tomato, zucchini and cranberries with nuts. Dressing: Olive Oil with Lemon
Dinner: Salad with Avocado, tomato, zucchini and cranberries with nuts.  Dressing: Olive Oil with Lemon

Tomorrow I may introduce some gluten free bread.

Then next monday, I am going to fast again but only for a few days.

  1. I am curious as to why the fasting and just not a diet that excludes the things you think might be bothering you?

I have the Hormone Diet book that I have not yet tried. It is not a "fad diet" per se, but a detox you do for 14 days to see what is up. I heard about it when a Nia teacher posted it on FB.

As you said you don't always even know what has gluten in it so I am so hesitant to do it.

Congrats to you being below a weight you haven't been below in years!!!!! I know that must feel good. YAY YOU! You are awesome woman. I am off to read the following posts.

  2. Thanks Miss Terre. I chose a fast because I am firm believer that fasting gives the body a break and lets it heal. Putting less strain on the body, we have a tendency to overtax it with all the toxins we put in our bodies. I chose fasting as a way to eliminate those toxins. I've heard many times that we don't lose weight if our bodies are filled with toxins.

  3. Desiccated porcine thyroid was a good product for restoring the proper function of your thyroid. I didn't expect that it would be this effective.
