Upping the Mones, Lowering the Moans! Plus Fermented Veges!

Went though a lot of hormonal insanity for the past month and a half. With having the feeling of death hovering over my body and mind, only Those of you who have had hypothyroidism may relate to that feeling.

I have been reintroducing things like rice, potatoes and the occasional gluten free bread for the past few months and we had to up my dose. Which sucks, but, at the same time I do not know if that is the reason we had to up it. Plus, I was miserable without carbs.

Had a beer not too long ago, the results, mass muscles spams the next day. sheesh, however today I feel great. I taught Nia today and life is good!

Speaking of wheat - was curious about this blog that Helen Terry was posting it is called the 60 Day Cleanse and as I am always looking for answers, so I have been poking around her blog. http://somaranch.com/60day/2012/5/7/day-7-wheat.html.

This one is about wheat...

She states...
I grew up with bread, cereal, whole grains and pasta being a daily staple part of my diet and was horrified to discovered wheat was a main contributor to my fatigue and cloudy mind.

Sound familiar right?

Then she goes into fermented veggies...

Fermented Veggies = a great antidote to wheat consumption.
As part of my 80/20 approach: 80% “on”, 20% “play”, I have been known to thoroughly enjoy a slice of pizza. Provided I eat a couple of tablespoons of Fermented Veggies before I sleep, I awake refreshed and well.

My initial response was, "what????" Salty fermented Veges like pickles or cabbage. salty right?

Ok, well I did more research:

The proliferation of lactobacilli in fermented vegetables enhances their digestibility and increases vitamin levels. These beneficial organisms produce numerous helpful enzymes as well as antibiotic and anti carcinogenic substances. Their main by-product, lactic acid, not only keeps vegetables and fruits in a state of perfect preservation but also promotes the growth of healthy flora throughout the intestine.

Re: http://www.nourishingdays.com/2009/07/the-benefits-of-fermented-food-lacto-fermented-vegetables/

Now, the above gave recipes like whey, which is like cow milk.... Ack... so, I did more research and found a website that gives recipes without whey...

http://www.nourishingmeals.com/2012/02/how-to-make-lacto-fermented-vegetables.html

They have a nice video on the site that explains a lot.

So, my next experiment is to make fermented veges and see how I feel? I will let you know more down the road.

Week Since Blue Belt and And the Body Has Finally Caught Up

A week ago I earned my Nia Blue Belt and I must say, for me, it was a real bitch! There we are on the side with Helen Terry. The funny thing is, she admitted to us that she was actually being easy on us. Ha! And a Sigh! I am just ecstatic I made it from point a to point b without completely passing out. Hormones freaking out, chronic fatigue, brain incapable of fully functioning and a deep desire to quit. My body is still recouping 7 days later.
I want to do Brown Belt in a year or so and in the back of my mind I am thinking, am I crazy?!?!? Plus, at day 3 of Blue Belt I was so challenged, I was about to come up with a scapegoat to not finish Blue Belt. Sitting on the commode from 4 am in the morning writing in my alchemy book asking myself, can I be a Nia Instructor? Then I came up with a solution teach to a special population.
I've seriously thought about this too, a special population, though discerning that population is the current challenge. Right now, God has put women with depression in my path. Perhaps that is the direction? I don't know, I am not a therapist. I am not entirely good at reading His symbols, I could be wrong, I could be right.
The word, I AM is rolling in my mind. One of my all time favorite quotes of all time, (those who know me, I love quotes). My all time favorite is, "God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

Tell them I AM sent me! Whoah! That is by far the the most profound and taken advantage statement of the centuries. I AM!!! I AM THAT I AM! I AM the way and the light. He he! Do you get it? another question, Do you want to get it? Another question, Do you have the testicular fortitude to get it? It's ok, not everyone is meant to get it. Um, I suppose.
I will not give you my name, all you need to know is I Am sent me to you! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Love it. I still find great joy in the statement. It is by far the funniest thing ever and I take that statement quite serious.
I am thinking that is my symbol.
I am, which reminds me..... A Niamigo posted this and it made a good impression.

You will notice that those who speak most of prosperity, have it. Those who speak most of health, have it. Those who speak most of sickness, have it. Those who speak most of poverty, have it. It is Law. It can be no other way... The way you feel is your point of attraction, and so, the Law of Attraction is most understood when you see yourself as a magnet getting more and more of the way you feel. When you feel lonely, you attract more loneliness. When you feel poor, you attract more poverty. When you feel sick, you attract more sickness. When you feel unhappy, you attract more unhappiness. When you feel healthy and vital and alive and prosperous you attract more of all of those things. --- Abraham
Excerpted from The Law of Attraction

I was reading this quote and putting "I am" in perspective and thinking of hypothyroidism and I've decided that it is most like those Energy Allies discussed in Blue Belt and I Am on this day forward looking at hypothyroidism as an Energy Ally.
I am that I am, I am blessed and gifted by my ability to recognize and discern certain truths as they are presented and the one thing that I know - I am blessed. This gift, as challenging as it may be, will be my ally in engaging with those who traveled down a road similar to my own. I have great compassion for them.
I do have prerequisites. You must have Sincerity and present this sincerity to the fullest degree and you must have Passion, luke warm disturbs me, and you must be open to Joy. So, Bring it!
Ok, that's all that I have.

Super C22, Reintroducing Some Foods, CFS & Over-dosing on Insulin linked to Cancer

Been busy experimenting lately and will say the fatugue is less and less. I have found that one of the keys to avoiding Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is eating less. Way less to be exact. I mean less than an handful. I mean bring a tablespoon with you and then eat a tablespoon or two of food. Eat every 45 minutes, or 1/2 hour or 20 minutes, when ever you feel hungry but can avoid CFS. Now, originally I tried a cup, then I went to 1/2 a cup and still CFS. 1/3 of a cup and then I was like, ok, let's try this. Breakfast: Boiled egg. 1/2 hour later, apple. 1/2 hour later tbsp or 2 of almonds. And boy it is working. Anymore than that and I want to pass out.

Moving on to Super C22 is something my mother introduced me to. -> http://www.superc22.com/

Studies prove Vitamin C deficiency is associated with many symptoms of chronic disease.

Studies indicate that the Vitamin C found in Super C22™ may help with chronic conditions. Also anxiety and depression. People who suffer from thyroid disease or any chronic disease know of anxiety and depression.

It has helped me with CFS and the Brain Fog. I heard I really should drink it all day, it's not the best tasting stuff, but eventually you get used to it. The good news is, sometime I feel super taking it. No pun intended.

Then finally, I have been reintroducing rice and potatoes and the occassional gluten free breads back into my diet. It's a slow, slow process. Of course, I stopped losing weight, but I can't stay away from those foods forever. I just really want to keep my insulin down, because I think there may be an issue with over-dosing with insulin. I've noticed if I have alot of carbs then insulin is the reason why my belly was getting thick, and recently there has been some finding that insulin may be the cause for some cancers.

Which recently there has been studies that Insulin Users have 50% higher chances of getting cancer. Elevated insulin levels are linked to breast cancer. -> http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/07/090709170819.htm

Recently, I saw a show with Dr. Oz that people with a waist above 35 inches are most likely to get breast cancer. So, I am no doctor, I repeat -> I am not a doctor. I am simply a sensation scientist and my body is my lab and I am experimenting with my own body and seeing how I feel with my body. But, can I put two and two together -> We are overdosing on insulin. Look at our diets, journal your diets and see how many sugars, carbs, starches, all the same thing right, how much are you getting in your diet.

Another interesting article from CNN - Diabetic drug that fights cancer -> http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/05/health/diabetes-drug-fights-cancer/index.html

Anyways, haven't lost any weight and honestly, I don't care about the weight. I used to care about the weight, but forget that. My hubby loves my body, why should I care about losing weight. The only ones who care are some goofy bitches who like to push their ego. My fuck yous' to you ladies. Really? Are you that pretentious? It truly shows what level you are at in terms of the evolution timeline. I want to be with the Bhaktis baby, not a bunch of bitches pushing their enslavement onto others. Keep your maya to yourself, slave.

Now, I do care about getting my belly under 35" because cancer runs in my family and I am 3/4 of an inch there. When I started, I was at 38 inches.

Really, all I care about is the fatgue, and that my brain is functional (hahaha) and I am not super fatigued, little bit fatgued here and there. Will report more in the coming weeks when I get my blood test again.

Wish me luck.

New TSH level! Holy Hormone Batman, my Experiment is Working!

So, when I started this little adventure my TSH level was at .95. Their TSH levels are .35 - 4.94. Today, I am at .14 and because my hormone dosage is at 1.25 I am currently HYPERthyroid. Imagine that. The Low carb diet is apparently working. We are lowering my hormone dosage to 1.0 and retesting in April.

So, right now I am high strung, then burn out to the point of passing out in the afternoons. So, hopefully in a week or so, this will all change.

Doctor said, I don't know what you are doing, but you are heading in the right direction. YEAH!!!

Weight started at 178 I am now 165. Ka Ching!!!

Bloodletting and Hopeful #hypothyroidism

Well, the chronic fatigue is hitting me hard.  I am passing out in my bed in the middle of the afternoon.  Luckily my son just watches tv, and plays with his toys right next to me.  Poor guy.  I've been taking him out in the mornings so he does get his play times in with his friends. But, by the time the afternoon comes, the fatigue kicks in. I am thinking I am - A) overdosing on my thyroid hormones. B) Really hurting my thyroid with my low carb, high fat diet.

I got my bloodletting Monday.  In other words, my blood was tested. Hopefully with good news, that my thyroid hormones are overdosing. If that is the case, then the diet is in the right direction.  If it's not, then the doctor and I need to talk about better options.

I am hoping that my thyroid dosage needs to be decreased, because if I can cure my thyroid, simply by avoiding too many carbs and dangerous grains, then by God so shall it be!

We'll know more tomorrow.  Wish me luck.

A Lot of Fatigue Lately #LCHF #glutenfree #folicacid

I have been absolutely exhausted for the past few days.  I have been losing weight, lost about 2 lbs since Monday.  168.4 to 166.4. Suffering from a bit of the constipation so, I am realizing there is a key element in my diet that is missing.   Vitamins, minerals particularly folic acid.

I haven't been taking my vitamins, minerals etc. Just lazy I suppose.  So I got on that today as there is folic acid in most multi-vitamins. Folic Acid is mainly found in grains and...

"The human body needs folate to synthesize DNA, repair DNA, and methylate DNA as well as to act as a cofactor in biological reactions involving folate.[7] It is especially important in aiding rapid cell division and growth, such as in infancy and pregnancy. Children and adults both require folic acid to produce healthy red blood cells and prevent anemia.[8]"  ~Wikipedia

The other thing I think is missing is magnesium to avoid things like constipation.  So, I will get on that and report on that next week to see if there are any changes.   I am pretty sure I am eating enough veges as I am eating spaghetti squash and artichokes like there is no tomorrow.

We'll see.
