LCHF Diet and Feeling Good

On one of my facebook accounts, Cincynia CincyNia on Facebook

One of my virtual compadres was talking about this blog.
Sick of cleanse and detox

Alot of people are getting tired of this cleansing diet and foodie attitude. Diets is not joke, you should eat according to what makes you healthy. It shouldn't be a trend. I tried the vegetarian/vegan thing, it did not help because I was consuming mass carbs. What else fills you up on a diet like that? Beans for protein equals mass carbs. And in reading all these diets and testing them, which is what I do, I test them to see if they work and to see if I can get rid of the fatigue and the weight and when I have mass carbs, I have major fatigue.

So, this is my advice, do what's healthy for you. What's healthy for me is really low carb diet. I feel great, I am talking 60 grams a day. Which means for me, I have to eat meat for protein. Now, I am not enthused about eating farm factory meat. Actually I am appalled to any cruelty to animals, it's evil what they do. Do not support the animal factories at all. But, do find a local farm that pays the same respect to those animals as they would their own family.

Good farmers held their livestock in the greatest respect as they knew those animals were going to be sacrificed so they can feed their family. Indians paid great homage to the animals they hunted, they thanked them for clothing their family and feeding them for the winter.

Every meal, I give thanks to the animal and I ask God allow them escape from the Wheel of Birth for their sacrifice.

We do not have to be cruel to these animals, and death, it's painful for all of us. But, we do not have to disrespect, we disrespect them we disrespect God.

Now ultimately, for myself, I would like to get away from eating meat, but I haven't found the right diet plan that can get me away from it without killing me!!!

Have a blessed day! BTW, I went 172 to 168 in 2.5 weeks. :D No chronic fatigue.

Regressed - Now Back On It / Dangerous Grains and Why We Get Fat

Let's face it ladies and gentlemen, it's hard to diet. That's why I figure as a mom, I need to make sure I program my son to eat right now.

I am finding that it is in my dna not to eat wheat, that I even should stay away from mass carbs.

Originally, I quit the Duke University Diet plan because I felt worse, but I bought the book "Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes and then the "Dangerous Grains" by James Braly, M.D. and Ron Hogan and realized I need to get back on this plan.

As I was reading these books, I began to realize that there is a big chance that I have been overdosing my body with carbs.

My whole life, I have ate cereals, pasta, breads, potatoes, rice in mass quantities. Cereals for breakfast, easy enough, pour Frankenberry (my favorite) in a bowl and add cow milk. Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich with chocolate milk. Oh yeah, after school snack: More Frankenberry! Maybe 2 bowls! Dinner, what ever my working mother had the energy to make. (Note: This is one of the reasons I decided it is best to be a stay-at-home mom. )

Still boggles my mine that then I was a size 0 before zero was popular. Now, I am between 12 and 10 with all kinds of chronic disease issues.

Enough about me as this is all ready becoming too long of a blog. But, talk a little bit about the diseases these grains are causing.

We all understand the gluten sensitivities, the celiac disease, but did you think of cancer, autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, brain disorders, intestinal disease, digestive disorders, infertility and problematic diseases.

Go to the library look up those two books. Do some research, do some experimenting with your own bodies.

I am back on that diet since this Saturday and have my energy back and have lost 5lbs.

I did yo-yo since July when I started. 178 to 163, then back to 172 now back down to 168 and losing. I realize it takes great discipline on my part and instead of finding the pleasure in breads and pastas, I need to remember the suffering that comes with eating those foods.
