Fifth Day on the Duke Diet | Lost 4lbs in a Week

Well, I manage to loose a few pounds.  My stomach feels good, no constipation that I believe is due to wheat or the gluten.  No crazy thickness in the belly, so that is the deal with the body.  However, there are times where I struggle.  Not out of desire for food, but little dizzy.

So, I am going to try to give this another week.  If I continue to feel dizzy, I am going back to the old gluten free diet with some grains and potatoes, but keep the calories between 1200 - 1800.  I've already lost 4 llbs, which is too fast.  I would be happy with a 1 - 2 lbs a week.  I think that would be safer.

I just want my thyroid hormones dosage to decrease.  As my moon phase kicks in I get a little weird, neurotic I guess.

New Diet Plan to Lower Thyroid Hormone Dosage.

Yes, yes, I know you missed me but I am back!  LOL!  Anyways, good virtual friend of mine and Nia Instructor and Trainer Rachael R Resch  (go take a class with her!) told me about this new diet that she was one.  It's the Healthiest Version of Extremely Low Carb diet derived from Duke University Medical Group.  She did this diet and they had to lower her dosage.  Something I have wanted to do for quite some time because the higher your thyroid hormone dosage is, the more you develop mental diseases like anxiety and depression.  So, when my moon phase comes in, I often feel like I am dying. Sounds like depression, then the fear of dying comes in and I get bitchy etc. etc.   Before i had my son, this was not an issue.  I just had a few days of the rag and bam gone!

Well, this diet, it is going to be super super hard on me, but so be it.  You can only have 20 carbs a day.  You can eat meat, preferable free range, grass/grain fed animals.  No breads, no gluten what so ever.  No fat free, no lite dressings.  So, stick with the olive oil and vinegar.

No sweeteners, except for stevia, which I hate, but in December I might try xylitol.  Let you know on that one.

Lots of good fats, you can eat eggs from a grain fed free range chicken. You can have mayonnaise.  Whoah, I suddenly had a craving for deviled eggs.  LMAO.

Oh boy, what else?  Well, just email me at tinakiely@ymail.com if you want the list.  Subject line should be Duke University Medical Group, so I know who you are.

So, I have regressed, I went on vacation for 4 weeks in Florida and have gained 7 lbs.  It was pretty hard to not eat what everyone else eats, plus I had to hit the Daiquiri Deck and hit up some Purple Haze.  Whoah!   Talk about diesel fuel!

So, I am back and I am on a mission and I am ready to feel better!  I'll keep you posted.
